Synthetic dyes are hazardous to the environment and humans due their toxic recalcitrant nature. Hence, present study attempts produce eco-friendly dye from sago industrial waste using S. marcescens SS1. The produced by bacterial bioconversion of was characterized GC-MS obtained 13.423 acquisition time, which is similar standard prodigiosin. effects dyeing parameters were optimized for Jute fabric tannic acid as a pre mordant, maximum uptake observed at 80 °C, pH 7, 60 mins with K/S 6.6. minimum value 3.9 65 3 in 45 min.
