چکیده
ABSTRACT We report on the characterization of dust activity and dynamical evolution two faint active asteroids, P/2019 A4, P/2021 A5, observed with 10.4 m GTC using both imaging spectroscopy. Asteroid A4 is found to be linked an impulsive event occurring some ±10 d around perihelion, probably due a collision or rotational disruption. Its orbit stable over 100 Myr time-scales. Dust tail models reveal short-term burst producing (2.0 ± 0.7) × 106 kg for maximum particle radius rmax = 1 cm. The spectrum featureless, slightly redder than Sun. A5 was ∼50 after lasting ∼5 ∼60 d, ejecting (8 2) orbital simulations show that few percent clones are unstable 20–50 Thus, might implanted object from JFC region beyond. These facts point water-ice sublimation as activation mechanism. This also displays featureless spectrum, but bluer Nuclei sizes estimated in hundred meters range asteroids. Particle ejection speeds (≈0.2 s−1) consistent escape those small-sized objects.

Episodic Ejection from Active Asteroid 311P/PANSTARRS
We examine the development of the active asteroid 311P/PANSTARRS (formerly, 2013 P5) in the period from 2013 September to 2014 February using high resolution images from the Hubble Space Telescope. This multi-tailed object is characterized by a single, reddish nucleus of absolute magnitudeH ≥ 18.98±0.10, corresponding to an equal-area sphere of radius≤200±20 m (for assumed geometric albedo 0.29...
متن کاملAsteroid Models from the Pan-STARRS Photometry
We present simulations on the asteroid photometric data that will be provided by the PanSTARRS (Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System). The simulations were performed using realistic shape and light-scattering models, random orientation of spin axes, and rotation periods in the range 2–24 h. We show that physical models of asteroids can be reconstructed from this data with some l...
متن کاملThe Rosetta Target Asteroids Environment
The ROSETTA spacecraft will y-by a few asteroids during its course to the nal cometary target. The candidate asteroids presently are 140 Siwa (C-type) and 4979 Otawara. An alternative interesting trajectory reaching four asteroids (5331 Erimomisaki, 905 Universitas, 1515 Perrotin and 4247 Grahamsmith) has also been found by ESA. With the limited data presently available on these bodies we calcu...
متن کاملActive Asteroids: Mystery in the Main Belt
Classically, comets from the outer solar system (beyond the orbit of Neptune), are expected to be icy, and thus active near the Sun, while asteroids in the inner solar system (interior to the orbit of Jupiter) are expected to be relatively ice-deficient, and thus inert. Studies of anomalous objects, most recently 133P/Elst-Pizarro, challenge this classical picture, however, and suggest that eit...
متن کاملThe structures of atpenins A4, A5 and B, new antifungal antibiotics produced by Penicillium sp.
The structures of atpenins A4, A5 and B, new antifungal antibiotics produced by Penicillium sp., have been deduced to be I, II and III, respectively, on the basis of spectroscopic and 1H and 13C NMR spectral data. The molecular structure of atpenin A4 with absolute configurations was finally confirmed to be 2'S,4'S,5'S-5,6-dimethoxy-4-hydroxy-5'-chloro-2',4'- dimethyl-1'-oxoheptyl-2-hydroxypyri...
