Duality in quantum transport models

چکیده
We develop the `duality approach', that has been extensively studied for classical models of transport, quantum systems in contact with a thermal `Lindbladian' bath. The method provides (a) mapping original model to simpler one, containing only few particles and (b) shows any dynamic process this kind generic baths may be mapped onto one equilibrium baths. exemplify through study particular model: symmetric exclusion introduced [1]. As case, whole construction becomes intelligible by considering dynamical symmetries problem.

Quantum critical transport , duality , and M - theory
We consider charge transport properties of 2+1 dimensional conformal field theories at non-zero temperature. For theories with only Abelian U(1) charges, we describe the action of particle-vortex duality on the hydrodynamic-to-collisionless crossover function: this leads to powerful functional constraints for self-dual theories. For N=8 supersymmetric, SU(N) Yang-Mills theory at the conformal f...

We describe general features of frequency-dependent charge transport near strongly interacting quantum critical points in 2+1 dimensions. The simplest description using the AdS/CFT correspondence leads to a self-dual Einstein-Maxwell theory on AdS4, which fixes the conductivity at a frequency-independent self-dual value. We describe the general structure of higher-derivative corrections to the ...

As a generic model for transport of interacting fermions through a barrier or interstitials in a lattice, quantum Brownian motion in a periodic potential is studied. There is a duality transformation between the continuous coordinate or phase representation and the discrete momentum or charge representation for general frequencydependent damping. Sub-Ohmic friction is mapped on super-Ohmic fric...
متن کاملEffect of asymmetric quantum dot rings in electron transport through a quantum wire
The electronic conductance at zero temperature through a quantum wire with side-connected asymmetric quantum ring (as a scatter system) is theoretically studied using the non-interacting Hamiltonian Anderson tunneling method. In this paper we concentrate on the configuration of the quantum dot rings. We show that the asymmetric structure of QD-scatter system strongly influences the amplitude an...
