چکیده

This work is aimed at providing a description of the complex world drug carriers, starting from this particular market in terms revenue. Then, brief overview several types conventional and innovative carrier systems has been included. The administration routes were also analyzed, with critical qualitative comment on release kinetics profile shapes. Carriers classified according to their ability provide prolonged targeted release. concept therapeutic window presented, advantages having pulsed avoid side effects target tissues. A use techniques for production carriers by large industrial companies proposed. As final attempt work, an overall unique schematization process added, highlighting necessity create strong double link among world-requested versatility human applications newly developed processes.

In-vitro study of Ketoprofen release from synthesized silica aerogels (as drug carriers) and evaluation of mathematical kinetic release models

Silica aerogels are porous and extremely lightweight nano-materials shows interesting properties. These materials, because of biocompatibility, non-harmful to the body and special physical characteristics such as large surface area and low density have great potential for use in a drug delivery system (DDS). The focus of this study is the evaluation of the effects of silica aerogels on improvin...

Crosslinking of gelatin-based drug carriers by genipin induces changes in drug kinetic profiles in vitro.

Hydrogels are extensively studied as carrier matrices for the controlled release of bioactive molecules. The aim of this study was to design gelatin-based hydrogels crosslinked with genipin and study the impact of crosslinking temperature (5, 15 or 25°C) on gel strength, microstructure, cytocompatibility, swelling and drug release. Gels crosslinked at 25°C exhibited the highest Flory-Rehner cro...

Designing multilayered particulate systems for tunable drug release profiles.

Triple-layered microparticles comprising poly(D,L-lactide-co-glycolide, 50:50) (PLGA), poly(L-lactide) (PLLA) and poly(ethylene-co-vinyl acetate, 40 wt.% vinyl acetate) (EVA) were fabricated using a one-step solvent evaporation technique, with ibuprofen drug localized in the EVA core. The aim of this study was to investigate the drug release profiles of these triple-layered microparticles in co...

Drug dissolution chip (DDC): a microfluidic approach for drug release.

DOI: 10.1002/smll.201100520 The effectiveness of drug delivery relies on the drug being released from its pharmaceutical dosage form, such as a tablet or capsule, and dissolving in body fl uids prior to absorption, and transport to the therapeutic target. [ 1 ] The analytical investigation of drug release from its dosage form is called dissolution testing and is essential in development as well...
