Drowning Induced Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS): A Case Report

چکیده
Introduction: Drowning is still one of the leading causes accidental deaths worldwide while Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) main component drowning pathophysiology. During which often leads to aspiration, pneumonitis may develop an inflammatory response and release mediators activation immune mediated responses. This cascade events development Syndrome, (ARDS). Case: We received a case male patient in emergency room having history fall well for 5 minutes. When rescued he was conscious after hour, developed cough breathlessness. On arrival, his routine clinical examination laboratory radiological investigation were performed view failure shifted intensive care unit further managementas. As per chest radiogram with signs hypoxia immediately required endotracheal intubation mechanical ventilation. Result Conclusion: Appropriate invasive ventilation sound judicial use antibiotics can benefit such cases ARDS.

Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome in a Patient With Suspected Influenza: A Case Report
Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) is a clinical syndrome consisting of tachypnea, refractory hypoxemia, and diffuse opacities on chest radiographs after infection or trauma which ultimately leads to respiratory failure. The principles of treatment are based on patient care in ICU, mechanical ventilation and medical treatments. By using lower plateau, less tidal volume, higher positive ...

Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) has been associated with high mortality. Improved understanding of the pathophysiology, recognition of precipitating events and improved management has decreased the mortality over the years. Mechanical ventilation is still the corner stone of the management of the disease. It is well recognised that high tidal volumes and airway pressures increase the...

Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS): clinical concepts and pathogenic mechanisms The first published reports of ARDS appeared in 1967 when Ashbaugh and colleagues described 12 adult patients with the acute onset of respiratory distress, refractory hypoxemia and bilateral infiltrates in chest X-rays (Ashbaugh et al., 1967). This was initially called the adult respiratory distress syndrome...
متن کاملPseudocyst in pulmonary acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
Childhood ARDS is mostly caused by pneumonia. Pulmonary pseudocysts are reported in adults recovering from ARDS, usually in non-dependent lung regions. We present a 1.5-year-old boy, who survived severe pulmonary ARDS with development of pulmonary giant pseudocysts and other structural abnormalities in dependent lung region. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first follow up report of pulm...

A 50 year old man presented with 3 weeks of exertional dyspnoea. His chest radiograph on admission revealed diffuse bilateral interstitial infiltrates. He did not respond to antibiotics but subsequently improved on high dose corticosteroids. Bronchoscopic examination with transbronchial biopsy specimens revealed the presence of non-necrotising granulomas. This case demonstrates an unusual clini...
