چکیده

The distribution of close-in exoplanets is shaped by a complex interplay between atmospheric and dynamical processes. Desert-Rim Exoplanets Atmosphere Migration (DREAM) program aims at disentangling those processes through the study hot Neptune desert, whose rim hosts planets that are undergoing, or survived, evaporation orbital migration. In this first paper, we use Rossiter-McLaughlin revolutions (RMR) technique to investigate architecture 14 ranging from mini-Neptune Jupiter-size covering broad range distances. While no signal detected for two smallest planets, were able constrain sky-projected spin-orbit angle six time, revise its value others, and, thanks constraints on stellar inclination, derive 3D in seven systems. These results reveal striking three-quarters polar orbits our sample, all being systems with single planet but various planetary types. High-eccentricity migration favored explain such several evaporating warm Neptunes, supporting role late shaping desert populating rim. Putting measurements wider context population will be useful their architectures.

Dream incubation: ancient techniques of dream influence

Dream incubation refers collectively to the practices, rituals, techniques and efforts that an individual applies to intentionally evoke helpful dreams. Derived from the Latin verb incubare (in'upon' + cubare 'to lie'), the term connotes the support and nurturance provided by a laying mother bird for her developing egg. The parallels with dream influence are all too appropriate; in antiquity, t...

Dream as Symptom, Dream as Myth: A Cross-Cultural Perspective on Dream Narratives

Many of us have an image of a classic anthropological approach to dreams: in "traditional" cultures, dreams are used to predict the future; dreams are part of "folk healing;" dreams are a social phenomenon. As the anthropologist Ellen Basso has put it, folk dream theories tend to be "progressive" or forward-looking, in contrast to the "regressive" Western dream theory, which uses dreams as a wi...

Robot Dream

In this position paper we present a novel approach to neurobiologically plausible implementation of emotional reactions and behaviors for real-time autonomous robotic systems. The working metaphor we use is the “day” and “night” phases of mammalian life. During the “day” phase a robotic system stores the inbound information and is controlled by the light-weight rule-based system in real time. I...

Dream Gallery:

This paper presents a recent study focusing on how Internet users introduce themselves publicly in cyberspace through personal web pages, personal diaries and web sites where they can search for relationships, love, or friendship. Our goal is to analyse the extent to which personal relationships are considered from a marketing standpoint, and in what sense we can talk about how personal relatio...
