چکیده
Background: Natural selection optimizes phenotypic plasticity in plants found environmentally variable habitats. However, it is unclear how artificial has affected the of crops. Reduced crop yield often considered a desirable feature cultivated plants; however, limited this and other traits may also affect ability crops to cope with environmental variation.
Study species: Wild domesticated chaya ( Cnidoscolus aconitifolius (Mill.) I.M. Johnst).
Question: How domestication vegetative response light environment?
Methods: Leaf area, leaf perimeter, specific production, trichome density, stem elongation, growth diameter slenderness were measured clones wild plants. These allocated two contrasting treatments: fully exposed sun vs . placement beneath shade cloth. The reaction norms compared between genotypes plants.
Results: Lower production was observed are associated avoidance syndrome, which evident but not manifested suggests stability.
Conclusion: Artificial reduces its variation availability.

Cnidoscolus aconitifolius leaf extract protects against hepatic damage induced by chronic ethanol administration in Wistar rats.
AIMS This study focused on the possible protective effect of Cnidoscolus aconitifolius leaf extract (CA) against hepatic damage induced by chronic ethanol administration in rats. METHODS Male Wistar rats were distributed into seven groups of six rats each. The first group was the control, second group received 20% ethanol-only (7.9 g/kg), third and fourth groups were pre-treated with CA (100 ...

AIMS The present work studied the modulatory role of methanolic extract of Cnidoscolus aconitifolius leaf (MECA) in rat model of renal dysfunction induced by chronic ethanol administration. METHODS Forty-two male Wistar albino rats weighing between 170 and 180 g were distributed into seven groups of six animals each. Some groups were pretreated with MECA (100 and 200 mg/kg) or kolaviron (KV) ...

BACKGROUND Diabetes has been associated with several complications occasioned by oxidative stress. Thus, in treatment of the condition, these complications must also be taken into consideration. This study evaluates the effect of Cnidoscolus aconitifolius complications of diabetes induced by alloxan, on haematology and sperm morphometry using the Wistar rats. METHODS Diabetes was induced in 2...
متن کاملSusceptibility of Tetranychus urticae Koch to an ethanol extract of Cnidoscolus aconitifolius leaves under laboratory conditions
One of the main pests of commercial rose crops in Colombia is the phytophagous mite Tetranychus urticae Koch. To manage this pest, synthetic chemicals have traditionally been used, some of which are well known to be potentially toxic to the environment and humans. Therefore, alternative strategies for pest management in greenhouse crops have been developed in recent years, including biological ...

This study was conducted to explore possible protective effect ofCnidoscolus aconitifolius (CA) leaf extract on carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)-induced hepatotoxicity and haemotoxicity in experimental animal models. Thirty six rats of six per group were used in this study. Group I received 10ml/kg normal saline as control. Group II-VI rats were administered with 1.25ml/kg body weight (bwt) of carbo...
