چکیده

Abstract The process of recrystallization affecting dolomitic successions remains a longstanding enigma in carbonate research. Recrystallization influences the accuracy genetic dolomitization models as well prediction porosity and permeability distribution within reservoirs. We investigate early-formed dolomites Upper Jurassic Arab Formation reservoir (Arabian Platform, United Emirates), where is not easily ascertained based on petrographic O-C-Sr isotope analyses. Conversely, application Δ47/U-Pb thermochronometry revealed occurrence burial over temperature-time interval ~45 °C/45 m.y. during Early Late Cretaceous. was initially driven by mixed marine-meteoric fluids, which evolved closed hydrologic system remained thermal equilibrium with host rocks. stepwise succession heterogeneously, so that samples only few meters apart presently record different stages stopped when hydrocarbons migrated into reservoir. Our results illustrate how may provide novel approach to unravel dolomite precisely determine timing physicochemical conditions (temperature δ18Ow) characterized process. Therefore, this study paves way for better appraisal

Hemoglobinopathies in the United Arab Emirates.

The use of modern DNA techniques enabled us to characterize and identify 44 distinct beta-thal mutations and nine alpha-thal genotypes in the UAE population. All of the beta-thal mutations were severe beta+ or beta0 types resulting in transfusion-dependent phenotypes. Furthermore, a large number of alphaT alleles in the alpha-thal carriers and in patients with Hb H disease, accentuate the impor...

Aflatoxin M1 in Ultra High Temperature Milk Consumed in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

Background: Aflatoxin M1 (AFM1) is a mycotoxin found in milk that has a carcinogenic effect and poses significant public health risks. Since the human population's consumption of milk and milk products are quite high, thereby increasing the risk of exposure to AFM1 is of great threat. To assess public health hazards associated with the occurrence of AFM1 in Ultra High Temperature (UHT) milk, a ...
