Does the Addition of Strength Training to a High-Intensity Interval Training Program Benefit More the Patients with Chronic Heart Failure?

چکیده
Background: Aerobic exercise, either continuous or high intensity interval training (HIIT), induces important benefits in chronic heart failure (CHF) patients. Resistance has been also shown to be beneficial CHF. However, data regarding combined aerobic exercise and muscle strength is still limited. The aim of this study was investigate whether adding a HIIT protocol within cardiac rehabilitation (CR) program cumulative effect on the functional capacity (FC) quality life (QoL) patients with Methods: Forty-four consecutive [35 males, ejection fraction (EF) <50%] CHF under medication enrolled 36-session CR were randomized two groups; (HIIT group) (high (COM) group). All underwent baseline endpoint outcome measures symptom-limited maximal cardiopulmonary testing (CPET), 1 repetition maximum (1RM) test, muscular endurance echocardiography, Minnesota Living Heart Failure Questionnaire (MLWHFQ). Results: Most CPET indices, EF, 1RM QoL improved after each group (p < 0.05). COM demonstrated further improvement chest workload at anaerobic threshold (AT) compared group. Conclusions: An exercise-based program, consisted training, improves FC addition seems have effects endurance, as well AT. Clinical Trial Registration: registered ClinicalTrials.gov number NCT02387411.

Effect of high intensity interval training and continus training on antioxidant enzymes in the heart of the old rats
Background and Objective: Aging is associated with increased free radical production. On the other hand, sports activities with the improvement of antioxidant system can reduce the damage caused by aging. This study was performed to determine the effect of the coantinus training (MCT) and high intensity interval training (HIIT) on antioxidant enzymes in the heart of old rats. Methods: This exp...
متن کاملHigh-Intensity Interval Training in Patients With Heart Failure With Reduced Ejection Fraction
BACKGROUND Small studies have suggested that high-intensity interval training (HIIT) is superior to moderate continuous training (MCT) in reversing cardiac remodeling and increasing aerobic capacity in patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction. The present multicenter trial compared 12 weeks of supervised interventions of HIIT, MCT, or a recommendation of regular exercise (RRE)...

Abstract Background: Heart failure necessitates self-care; therefore, self-care training should be based on learning needs (LNs) of patients. Aim: This study aimed to determine the impact of a training program based on learning needs on self-care behaviors among patients with heart failure Method: This clinical trial was performed on 73 patients suffering from heart failure in Zanjan teaching h...
