Abstract In this contribution, a convenient synthetic method to obtain tris(trimethoxysilyl)silanides (M=Li, Na, K, Cu) 5 – d is described. are easily accessible deriving from dodecamethoxyneopantasilane 4 in excellent yields and could be fully characterized via NMR spectroscopy X‐ray crystallography. The efficiency of serve as new building block silicon chemistry demonstrated by the reactions with two different types electrophiles (carbon‐ silicon‐electrophiles). all cases salt metathesis reaction gave rise novel polysilanes yields. possibility post‐functionalization perhydropolysilanes well perchloropolysilanes enables synthesis precursors for deposition.
