DNA Markers and Molecular Breeding in Pear and Other Rosaceae Fruit Trees

چکیده
Pear (Pyrus spp.) is one of the most important edible fruits belonging to family Rosaceae. DNA markers, molecular genetics and genomics, breeding pear have greatly progressed over last few decades. The development reliable such as simple sequence repeats single nucleotide polymorphisms, has allowed profiling accessions, assessment genetic diversity within species, analyses phylogenetic relationships among species. Reference linkage maps genome-wide markers enabled practical marker-assisted selection for resistance black spot and/or scab diseases, self-compatibility, harvest time, fruit skin color in Japanese programs. Molecular been shown more than triple efficiency compared with conventional breeding. Furthermore, programs using two novel genomics-based approaches—genome-wide association studies genomic selection—focusing on quality texture, quantitative traits breeding, are progress. Co-linearity functional synteny identified between apple (Malus × domestica Borkh), used efficiently predict function a gene interest develop related

Recent advance of bioinformatics and analytical apparatuses such as next generation DNA sequencer (NGS) and mass spectrometer (MS) has brought a big wave of comprehensive study to biology. Comprehensive study targeting all genes, transcripts (RNAs), proteins, metabolites, hormones, ions or phenotypes is called genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, hormonomics, ionomics or phenomi...

Because most regions of Japan are in the temperate climate zone, many deciduous and evergreen fruit crops are cultivated in Japan. In addition to fruit cultivation in the temperate zone, some southern areas, such as the Ryukyu Islands that stretch from Kyushu to Taiwan, are at the northern limits for tropical fruit production without the need of artificial heating. At present, annual fruit prod...
متن کاملMetabolic and Other Responses of ‘Bartlett’ Pear Fruit and Suspension-cultured ‘Passe Crassane’ Pear Fruit Cells Held in 0.25% O2
‘Bartlett’ pears (Pyrus communis L.) that had been stored for either 2 or 8 weeks in air at 0C were placed under an atmosphere of 0.25% 0, (balance N2) at 20C for 4 days then returned to air. Control pears were kept in air at 20C. Suspension-cultured ‘Passe Crassane’ pear fruit cells in aging medium were treated similarly. During exposure of the fruit to 0.25% O2, loss of greenness and ethylene...
متن کاملMolecular mechanism of the S-RNase-based gametophytic self-incompatibility in fruit trees of Rosaceae
Self-incompatibility (SI) is a major obstacle for stable fruit production in fruit trees of Rosaceae. SI of Rosaceae is controlled by the S locus on which at least two genes, pistil S and pollen S, are located. The product of the pistil S gene is a polymorphic and extracellular ribonuclease, called S-RNase, while that of the pollen S gene is a protein containing the F-box motif, SFB (S haplotyp...
