چکیده
With the advancement of endourology, a great variety biomaterial devices have been developed. Several studies reported that formation biofilm and device infection are commonly observed manifestations lead to urinary tract infections. An indwelling double J ureteral stent carries significant risk; negative urine culture does not rule out colonized stent. Hence, assessing extent colonization without positive voided is crucial. This cross-sectional study involved 44 patients, aged between 14 88 years, coming Department Urology at Indus Hospital Karachi remove DJ stents from April 2019 October 2019. The samples were collected through non-probability consecutive technique. Urine samples, before removal along with distal portions stent, sent for cultural analysis bacteriuria colonization. whole data was analyzed on SPSS version 22.0. found five patients (11.4%) had end Burkholderia cepacia most common microorganism. However, n=31; 70.4% in post-DJ urine, Pseudomonas microorganism (n=14; 45.2%). Stent no association age, gender, culture. Most asymptomatic. Despite these observations, it critical emphasize using still generally recognized safe treatment. Future should look other aspects patterns may impact improving safety management use.

Facilitate Stent Removal: Magnetic DJ Stent
A 23-year-old male patient was performed semirigid ureterorenoscopy and laser lithotripsy with placement magnetic DJ stent because of right urethral stone. Removal of the magnetic DJ stent does not need a second procedure such as cystoscopy for the patients. This technique is easy to learn and should be considered as suitable for use on an outpatient basis.

BACKGROUND The Atacama Desert is one of the driest deserts in the world and its soil, with extremely low moisture, organic carbon content, and oxidizing conditions, is considered to be at the dry limit for life. RESULTS Analyses of high throughput DNA sequence data revealed that bacterial communities from six geographic locations in the hyper-arid core and along a North-South moisture gradien...
متن کاملSpontaneous fragmentation of DJ stent and migration to urinary bladder.
Increased use of the DJ stent in urological problems has been associated with a marked increase in DJ related complications. Spontaneous fragmentation of DJ stent is a rare complication and removal of upper fragmented part is technically difficult and frustrating. We report a case of fragmentation of DJ stent and passage of upper coiled portion from renal pelvis to urinary bladder spontaneously.

In the stent era, in addition to restenosis, there are many important consequences deserving more attention. Firstly described in peripheral vascular interventions, it took several years for stent fracture to be known as an appreciable complication of coronary intervention. Especially with the introduction of drug eluting stents and the use of coronary stents in more complex cases, its prevalen...
