Divide and Rule? Why Ethical Proliferation is not so Wrong for Technology Ethics

Abstract Although the map of technology ethics is expanding, growing subdomains within it may raise misgivings. In a recent and very interesting article, Sætra Danaher have argued that current dynamic sub-specialization harmful to technology. this commentary, we offer three reasons diminish their concern about ethical proliferation. We argue first problem demarcation weakened if attend other sub-disciplines not mentioned by these authors. claim secondly logic sub-specializations less problematic one does adopt mixed models (combining internalist externalist approaches) in applied ethics. finally reject clarity distinction are necessary conditions for defining sub-fields technology, defending porosity constructive nature disciplines.
