چکیده
Gastropods are one of the constituents benthic communities in waters and found throughout world, ranging from shallow, sandy, coral reefs to deep seas. have several advantages, most relevant is that they can be used as bioindicators pollution. The purpose this study was determine diversity abundance gastropods Kapas Island, Indonesia. This research conducted for two months on coast Gastropod collection carried out at 10 observation stations using three transect lines toward sea divided into parts, namely upper intertidal, middle lower intertidal each line. distance between ~ 150 m. Ninety plots 1 m2 were set. Abundance analyzed qualitatively. Results showed consisted 9 genera 14 species. Among them, Cerithium sp. had highest individual (40.15%). index Island 2.07 (medium diversity).

Temporal Variation in Rocky Intertidal Gastropods of the Qeshm Island in the Persian Gulf
Gastropod assemblages were investigated along intertidal rocky shore in the Qeshm Island in the northern Persian Gulf. Monthly sampling was undertaken from May 2007 to April 2008. Environmental factors were also measured in each site. A total of 28 gastropod taxa belonging to 15 families were identified and Cerithiidae was the most abundant family and Cerithium caeruleum was the most abundant...

A region is considered self-sustainable when the feed provision is adequate for all livestock demands. Livestock is fed in order to supply nutrient needs for maintenance, growth, and reproduction purposes. This study aimed to determine whether Madura Island inIndonesia is able to independently provide sufficient forage for its ruminant livestock. A Carrying Capacity Index (CCI) in four regions ...

متن کاملEstimating microsatellite based genetic diversity in Rhode Island Red chicken
This study aimed to estimate microsatellite based genetic diversity in two lines (the selected RIRS and control line RIRC) of Rhode Island Red (RIR) chicken. Genomic DNA of 24 randomly selected birds maintained at Central Avian Research Institute (India) and 24 microsatellite markers were used. Microsatellite alleles were determined on 6% urea-PAGE, recorded using GelDoc system and the samples ...
متن کاملGastropods slow down succession and maintain diversity in cryptogam communities.
Herbivore effects on diversity and succession were often studied in plants, but not in cryptogams. Besides direct herbivore effects on cryptogams, we expected indirect effects by changes in competitive interactions among cryptogams. Therefore, we conducted a long-term gastropod exclusion experiment testing for grazing effects on epiphytic cryptogam communities. We estimated the grazing damage, ...
