چکیده

Trifolium subterraneum L. subsp. yanninicum is a pasture legume that widely grown in medium and high rainfall areas of southern Australia shows waterlogging tolerance. This study investigated diversity within corresponding to eco-geographic variables, which may help identify adapted parents with new traits for genetic improvement. Diversity 10 morphological traits, flowering time leaf isoflavone content was using 108 ecotypes derived from wild Mediterranean populations cultivars, as spaced plants. Among the ecotypes, range 94–149 days after sowing, contents formononetin, genistein biochanin A were 0.05–1.38%, 0.73–2.33% 0.15–2.10% dry matter, respectively. Leaf markings also varied considerably. size petiole length correlated at each growth stage. Later genotypes had larger leaves, longer petioles, internodes thicker stems flowering, but smaller leaves shorter petioles both 63 88 sowing. Contents unrelated, negatively associated formononetin. Flowering weak positive influence on A, negative All among (except stem diameter mark crescent size) significantly least one 22 variables their collection sites. Precipitation altitude more influential than temperature. The found sufficient broaden narrow base current cultivars; however, other agronomically important need be considered. Further result targeted collection, particularly not represented annual genebanks.

Genetic diversity among tall fescue ecotypes using agro-morphological traits, nutritional values and AFLP molecular markers

This study was carried out to compare agro-morphological traits and nutritive value of 25 tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea) ecotypes grown in Tehran, Iran. The experiments were carried out in a split plot design during 2016-2018 growing seasons. The results showed that there was a significant genetic variation in existing germplasm. The highest heritability was related to dry forage yi...

Genetic Diversity Evaluation of Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis L.) Ecotypes Using Morphological Traits and Molecular Markers

Genetic diversity of 12 lemon balm ecotypes was evaluated using agronomic traits as well as ISSR and RAPD markers. Results of analysis of variance showed high diversity among the studied ecotypes. Cluster analysis using UPGMA method grouped the ecotypes into three different groups based on the agronomic traits. Twelve ISSR primers created 106 polymorphic bands among the studied ecotypes. An ISS...

Association mapping of leaf traits, flowering time, and phytate content in Brassica rapa.

Association mapping was used to investigate the genetic basis of variation within Brassica rapa, which is an important vegetable and oil crop. We analyzed the variation of phytate and phosphate levels in seeds and leaves and additional developmental and morphological traits in a set of diverse B. rapa accessions and tested association of these traits with AFLP markers. The analysis of populatio...

Quantitative trait loci for flowering time and morphological traits in multiple populations of Brassica rapa.

Wide variation for morphological traits exists in Brassica rapa and the genetic basis of this morphological variation is largely unknown. Here is a report on quantitative trait loci (QTL) analysis of flowering time, seed and pod traits, growth-related traits, leaf morphology, and turnip formation in B. rapa using multiple populations. The populations resulted from crosses between the following ...
