چکیده
Mules Island and its surroundings are included in the Savu Sea National Park (TNP) area administratively Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT). The waters of have a high potential for coral reef ecosystem resources important support marine life. However, current condition anthropogenic pressure continues to increase due an number people living on coast small islands. One pressures that currently big issue is existence debris, where studies related impact distribution ecosystems still very few. purpose this study was determine types debris Nucamolas surroundings. Observations were made 1-3 November 2021 at 12 stations. research method used belt transect with 500 m2. Data collection assisted by SCUBA diving equipment depth 5-7 m flat. results found dominant organic waste (64.3%) group macro (71,4%). Based type, species logs (37%), which physically damaged coral, especially when currents waves moving. site only 8 stations while other 4 not found.

Coral Transplant Damage at Mombasa Marine National Park
Two coral species, Porites palmata and Porites lutea, were transplanted into three distinct management areas adjacent to the Mombasa Marine National Park, Kenya: A no-fishing MPA; a gear-restricted reserve with no beach seining; and a reserve with beach seining. Corallivory by fish or breakage by fishing gear was measured over a 57-day period. Porites palmata, the branching species, was more su...
متن کاملMacrobenthic assemblage structure and distribution at the Boojagh Marine National Park, Southern Caspian Sea, Iran.
Although macrobenthic assemblages are considered as major players in many ecosystems around the world, the ecology of Caspian Sea macrobenthos is currently understudied. This study describes the species composition and quantitative distribution of macrobenthos in the southern Caspian Sea and relates the distribution to seasonal changes at three depths (1, 5 and 10 meters) on the Boojagh Marine ...
متن کاملThe susceptibility level and sustainability potential of groupers; Plectropomus sp. in a marine national park
Wakatobi National Park has a tropical marine ecosystem with typically dynamic aquatic resources, and it also has a potentially massive number of groupers such as red (Plectropomus leopardus) and black groupers (Plectropomus areolatus). However, the sustainability of the grouper resources has not been managed effectively and environmentally friendly. This study aims to determin...
متن کاملBaseline for beached marine debris on Sand Island, Midway Atoll.
Baseline measurements were made of the amount and weight of beached marine debris on Sand Island, Midway Atoll, June 2008-July 2010. On 23 surveys, 32,696 total debris objects (identifiable items and pieces) were collected; total weight was 740.4 kg. Seventy-two percent of the total was pieces; 91% of the pieces were made of plastic materials. Pieces were composed primarily of polyethylene and ...
متن کاملClimate Warming, Marine Protected Areas and the Ocean-Scale Integrity of Coral Reef Ecosystems
Coral reefs have emerged as one of the ecosystems most vulnerable to climate variation and change. While the contribution of a warming climate to the loss of live coral cover has been well documented across large spatial and temporal scales, the associated effects on fish have not. Here, we respond to recent and repeated calls to assess the importance of local management in conserving coral ree...
