Dissection of genotype-by-environment interaction and yield stability analysis in barley using AMMI model and stability statistics

Abstract Background Barley is one of the most important cereal crops with considerable tolerance to various environmental stresses, which can maintain its productivity well in marginal croplands. The selection stable and high-yielding barley genotypes ideal discriminative locations an strategy for development new cultivars tropical climates. Different statistical methods have been developed dissect genotype-by-environment interaction effect investigate stability select environments. main objective present study was identify testing environments located regions Iran using 23 parametric nonparametric statistics. In study, grain yield nineteen investigated across five different over two consecutive years (2018–2020). Results additive effects multiplicative (AMMI) analysis showed that (E), (G) GE were significant yield. Using Spearman’s rank correlation analysis, a pattern map simultaneously assessing relationships between statistics clustering them, allowed identifying groups based on their concepts. biplot rendered weighted average absolute scores ( WAASB ) mean identified superior terms performance stability. Among test environments, Darab, Gonbad Zabol high discriminating ability played highest contribution creating GEI. Hence, these are suggested as sites genotypes. Conclusion As conclusion from this research, all together G10 G12 genotypes; could be released commercial Iran.
