Dispersion-engineered Metasurface Doublet Design for Broadband and Wide-angle Operation in the Visible Range

The development of a metasurface lens, which represents flat optical element with subwavelength thickness, holds the potential for miniaturizing imaging systems. Nevertheless, presence aberrations poses significant challenge achieving optimal quality out it. Moreover, its practical utilization in cameras and wearable devices necessitates simultaneous correction monochromatic chromatic aberrations. We here propose framework to design multi-layered, dispersion-engineered metasurfaces, is capable correcting manner. Based on scheme, we numerically demonstrate novel doublet that gives rise improvement both designed lens has field-of-view 50° operates broadband visible region from 450 650 nm.
