Thermal Equilibria of Accretion Disks
We show that most of hot, optically thin accretion disk models which ignore advective cooling are not self-consistent. We have found new types of optically thin disk solutions where cooling is dominated by radial advection of heat. These new solutions are thermally and viscously stable. متن کاملThe Role of Thermal Conduction in Accretion Disks with Outflows
In this work we solve the set of hydrodynamical equations for accretion disks in the spherical coordinates (r,θ,ϕ) to obtain the explicit structure along θ direction. We study a two-dimensional advective accretion disc in the presence of thermal conduction. We find self-similar solutions for an axisymmetric, rotating, steady, viscous-resistive disk. We show that the global structure of an advec...
متن کاملADPLL design parameters determinations through noise modeling
This paper presents a methodology to determine all-digital phase-locked loop (ADPLL) circuit variables based on required design specifications, including output phase noise, fractional spur and locking time. An analytical model is developed to characterize the effects of different noise sources on ADPLL output phase noise and fractional spur. Applying the proposed noise model, circuit variables...
متن کاملEffects of process parameters on material removal rate in WEDM
Purpose: In this paper, the effects of various process parameters of WEDM like pulse on time (TON), pulse off time (TOFF), gap voltage (SV), peak current (IP), wire feed (WF) and wire tension (WT) have been investigated to reveal their impact on material removal rate of hot die steel (H-11) using one variable at a time approach. The optimal set of process parameters has also been predicted to m...
متن کاملThermal Waves in Irradiated Protoplanetary Disks
Protoplanetary disks are mainly heated by radiation from the central star. Since the incident stellar flux at any radius is sensitive to the disk structure near that location, an unstable feedback may be present. Previous investigations show that the disk would be stable to finite-amplitude temperature perturbations if the vertical height of optical surface is everywhere directly proportional t...
