چکیده

Modeling and forecasting of Total Electron Content (TEC) values by an Artificial Neural Network model (ANNm) have high agreement on November 2003, 2004 superstorms. The work discusses Solar Wind Parameters (SWp) from OMNI (Operating Missions as a Node the Internet) TEC (TECU) data (International Reference Ionosphere) IRI-2012, IRI-2016 20, 2003 (Dst = –422 nT) 08, –374 Geomagnetic Storms (GSs). paper commences with 120-hour GS exhibition SWp proceeds correlation variables, their hierarchical tracks, inner dispersions. ANNm input output are introduced. performance for superstorms is adequate. Correlation Coefficient (R) Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) 97.5%, 1.17 TECU (IRI-2012), 97.9%, 1.09 (IRI-2016) 97.0%, 0.89 98.0%, 1.61 GS. effect R constant points out to dynamic pressure (nPa), magnetic field Bz component (nT), flow speed (km/s), proton density (1/cm3). Besides, absolute total error variance predicted GSs 0.06 (0.30%) 0.013 0.09 (0.49%) 0.016 storm 0.13 (0.73%) 0.033 0.11 (1.06%) 0.035 2004. It means that models considerable consistency over SWp.

Solar flare signatures of the ionospheric GPS total electron content

6 [1] In this study, ionospheric solar flare effects on the total electron content (TEC) and 7 associated time rate of change (rTEC) derived from ground-based global positioning 8 system (GPS) receivers in the midday region are examined. The occurrence times and 9 locations of 11 solar flares are isolated from the 1–8 Å X-ray radiations of the 10 geosynchronous operational environmental satelli...

The MAVEN Solar Wind Electron Analyzer

The MAVEN Solar Wind Electron Analyzer (SWEA) is a symmetric hemispheric electrostatic analyzer with deflectors that is designed to measure the energy and angular distributions of 3-4600-eV electrons in the Mars environment. This energy range is important for impact ionization of planetary atmospheric species, and encompasses the solar wind core and halo populations, shock-energized electrons, ...

Evolutionary Prediction of Total Electron Content over Cyprus

Total Electron Content (TEC) is an ionospheric characteristic used to derive the signal delay imposed by the ionosphere on trans-ionospheric links and subsequently overwhelm its negative impact in accurate position determination. In this paper, an Evolutionary Algorithm (EA), and particularly a Genetic Programming (GP) based model is designed. The proposed model is based on the main factors tha...

Sources of solar wind over the solar activity cycle

Fast solar wind has been recognized, about 40 years ago, to originate in polar coronal holes (CHs), that, since then, have been identified with sources of recurrent high speed wind streams. As of today, however, there is no general consensus about whether there are, within CHs, preferential locations where the solar wind is accelerated. Knowledge of slow wind sources is far from complete as wel...
