Discrimination of nano-objects via cluster analysis techniques applied to time-resolved thermo-acoustic microscopy

چکیده

Time-effective, unsupervised clustering techniques are exploited to discriminate nanometric metal disks patterned on a dielectric substrate. The discrimination relies cluster analysis applied time-resolved optical traces obtained from thermo-acoustic microscopy based asynchronous sampling. aims recognize similarities among nanopatterned and them accordingly. Each is characterized by fingerprint trace, synthesizing the common features of thermo-acoustics response composing elements. protocol robust widely applicable, not relying any specific knowledge physical mechanisms involved. present route constitutes an alternative diagnostic tool for on-chip non-destructive testing individual nano-objects.

Discrimination of Golab apple storage time using acoustic impulse response and LDA and QDA discriminant analysis techniques

ABSTRACT- Firmness is one of the most important quality indicators for apple fruits, which is highly correlated with the storage time. The acoustic impulse response technique is one of the most commonly used nondestructive detection methods for evaluating apple firmness. This paper presents a non-destructive method for classification of Iranian apple (Malus domestica Borkh. cv. Golab) according...

Time-resolved infrared spectroscopic techniques as applied to channelrhodopsin

Among optogenetic tools, channelrhodopsins, the light gated ion channels of the plasma membrane from green algae, play the most important role. Properties like channel selectivity, timing parameters or color can be influenced by the exchange of selected amino acids. Although widely used, in the field of neurosciences for example, there is still little known about their photocycles and the mecha...

Time-resolved fluorescence microscopy.

In fluorescence microscopy, the fluorescence emission can be characterised not only by intensity and position, but also by lifetime, polarization and wavelength. Fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) can report on photophysical events that are difficult or impossible to observe by fluorescence intensity imaging, and time-resolved fluorescence anisotropy imaging (TR-FAIM) can measure the rotation...

Atomic Force Microscopy as a Tool Applied to Nano/Biosensors

This review article discusses and documents the basic concepts and principles of nano/biosensors. More specifically, we comment on the use of Chemical Force Microscopy (CFM) to study various aspects of architectural and chemical design details of specific molecules and polymers and its influence on the control of chemical interactions between the Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) tip and the sample...
