The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect cover crops and fallow duration on onion crop planted in direct sowing trials carried out for three years. In year 2013, two field were sites. Two (oats millet) one uncovered control evaluated at planting dates. studied variables establishment dry matter cover. performed 2014 2015 length chemical oats evaluated. also laboratory Petri dishes. greatest obtained treatments without both greater cover, establishment. trial 2015, no effects observed, a result attributable intense rainfall recorded. laboratory, germination higher with longer periods. Based results, evidence negative crop. These inversely related may be allelopathic effects.
