Digital Twin-Based Automated Guided Vehicle Scheduling: A Solution for Its Charging Problems

Due to poor predictability of resources and difficulty in perception task execution status, traditional Automatic Guide Vehicle (AGV) scheduling systems need a lot extra time the charging process. To solve this problem, digital twin-based dynamic AGV (DTDAS) method is proposed, including four functions, namely knowledge support system, model, optimization, simulation. With features virtual reality data interaction, symbiosis, fusion from twin technology, proposed DTDAS can problem effectively improving operating efficiency workshop. An process discrete manufacturing workshop taken as case study verify effectiveness method. The results show that, compared with method, article reduce makespan 10.7% energy consumption by 1.32%.
