Digital Twin-Based Assessment Framework for Energy Savings in University Classroom Lighting

In this paper, a digital twin-based assessment framework is proposed to determine which energy-saving technologies and strategies will work best in existing buildings. The based on twin that integrates the building’s hardware system, operational schedule database, probabilistic model of occupant behavior. A was constructed field measurements database integration for case study involving nine university buildings 55 classrooms. As result, classrooms involved study, lighting turned absence occupants an average 10.7 h day. results indicate it very important turn off lights after last hour use South Korea possible reduce power consumption by more than 60% employing strategy passive infrared sensor or manager. Additionally, LED most over-designed, indicates 46% energy consumed can be saved adjusting luminance level appropriate range.
