Digital tongue image analyses for health assessment

چکیده

Abstract Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), as an effective alternative medicine, utilizes tongue diagnosis a major method to assess the patient’s health status by examining tongue’s color, shape, and texture. Tongue images can also give pre-disease indications without any significant disease symptoms, which provides basis for preventive medicine lifestyle adjustment. However, traditional has limitations, process may be subjective inconsistent. Hence, computer-aided diagnoses have great potential provide more consistent objective assessments. This paper reviewed current trends in TCM diagnosis, including image acquisition hardware, segmentation, feature extraction, color correction, classification, system. We present case of constitution classification based on images.
