With the liberalisation of Indian banking sector in 2014, digital payment ecosystem has undergone a steady transformation which can be attributed to usage new technologies like Automated Teller Machines (ATM) and Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR). Digital systems offer convenience security while transacting. In 2010, variety products (stored value cards, wallets, recharge vouchers) service providers were introduced.
