Digital Multimodal Composing Using Visme: EFL Students’ Perspectives

Due to the importance of digital multimodal composing (DMC) in current educational context, researchers this study implemented infographic tasks an English for Specific Purposes (ESP) course at a Vietnamese university and examined EFL students’ perceptions on individual collaborative infographics using Visme. The responses open-ended questions suggested that Visme is convenient suitable tool which enhanced their learning experience fostered creativity writing skills. main perceived advantages DMC are enhancement learner autonomy, information literacy skills; challenges students encountered while working individually included insufficiency ideas lack peer support. In comparison, enabled group members provide mutual scaffolding, generate more contents, develop collaboration skills, but complained about difficulty reaching consensus within groups as well unequal contribution work. This research provides insights both ESP pedagogy.
