چکیده

ABSTRACT Artificial intelligence is making history, literally. Machine learning tools are playing a key role in crafting images and stories about the past popular culture. AI has probably also already invaded history classroom. Large language models such as GPT‐3 able to generate compelling, non‐plagiarized texts response simple natural inputs, thus providing students with an opportunity produce high‐quality written assignments minimum effort. In similar vein, like likely revolutionize historical studies, enabling historians other professionals who deal rely on AI‐generated intermediate work products, accurate translations, summaries, chronologies. But present‐day large fail at tasks that hold high regard. They structurally incapable of telling truth tracking pieces information through layers texts. What's more, they lack ethical self‐reflexivity. Therefore, for time being, writing academic will require human agency. theorists, might offer test basic hypotheses nature writing. Historical theorists can, instance, have customized write series descriptive, narrative, assertive histories same events, thereby them explore precise relation between description, narration, argumentation short, specifically designed models, can run kinds large‐scale experiments could never put into practice real historians.

Theory Grounding in Embodied Artificially Intelligent Systems

Theory grounding is suggested as a way to address the unresolved cognitive science issues of systematicity and productivity. Theory grounding involves grounding the theory skills and knowledge of an embodied artificially intelligent (AI) system by developing theory skills and knowledge from the bottom up. It is proposed that theory grounded AI systems should be patterned after the psychological...

Visual responses of mosquitoes artificially rendered flightless.

INTRODUCTION The work of Kennedy (1940) showed that flying mosquitoes (Aedes aegypti) orientate themselves inaccurately but consistently away from the source of a horizontal beam of artificial light and also that when presented with several moving black stripes they tend to face one orother of them. This characteristic negative phototaxis of mosquitoes during daytime has either been observed or...

Can LTEX Profiles be Rendered Adequately with Static CSS?

Can LTEX Profiles be Rendered Adequately with Static CSS? MathJax demonstrates that heavy customization of CSS with JavaScript and webfonts provides good platform-dependent rendering. The issue with MathJax is speed, not quality. There has been and continues to be intense development with CSS. One may speculate that, as CSS continues to evolve, static CSS may entirely suffice not only for HTML ...

Can interbreeding of wild and artificially propagated animals be prevented by using broodstock selected for a divergent life history?

TWO STRATEGIES HAVE BEEN PROPOSED TO AVOID NEGATIVE GENETIC EFFECTS OF ARTIFICIALLY PROPAGATED INDIVIDUALS ON WILD POPULATIONS: (i) integration of wild and captive populations to minimize domestication selection and (ii) segregation of released individuals from the wild population to minimize interbreeding. We tested the efficacy of the strategy of segregation by divergent life history in a ste...
