Digital Competence in Higher Education: Students’ Perception and Personal Factors

چکیده

University students are expected to have the appropriate digital competence face demands of changing educational model and meet challenges future work. This paper describes university students’ perceptions analyzes impact personal factors on in a sample 5164 from all majors first fourth year their studies at Gansu Agricultural (China). A quantitative methodology was followed, employing non-experimental method survey technique collect data. The results obtained show that competencies terms information data literacy, communication collaboration, safety were positive. Furthermore, there significant differences self-perceptions related gender, grade level, area residence, prior relevant training DigComp framework-based instrument. development key competency areas for competence, such as creation content, should be promoted, along with helping gain knowledge when dealing everyday technological issues. need use ICT also highlighted, well supporting promotion female selected assisting lower rural development.
