Digestate Composition Affecting N Fertiliser Value and C Mineralisation

چکیده
Abstract A variety of organic feedstocks can be used for anaerobic digestion, resulting in digestates with different compositions, affecting the fertiliser value. Therefore, two experiments were conducted to assess (1) differences nitrogen (N) value seven from a 2-year field experiment spring wheat, and (2) degradability matter (OM) within an aerobic incubation experiment. In field, mineral equivalents range 18–60% (1st year) 39–83% (2nd year). Fertiliser properties could describe 58.9–74.2% N offtake variance among digestates. experiment, produced 720–1900 mg CO 2 -C kg ?1 . After 56 days, 61% C added by food waste digestate has been mineralised, compared 16–22% other Digestate composition (C/N, org /N , carbonate, cellulose, lignin, crude fibre) explain 90.4% evolution. both experiments, digested stood out highest OM mineralisation. conclusion, related compositional variations. However, apart waste, had only minor influence on performance after soil application. Graphical

Quality and function of anaerobic digestion residues
The growing number of biogas plants in Europe has resulted in increased production of nutrient-rich digestate, which has potential as fertiliser on arable land. Many different organic materials can be degraded in the anaerobic digestion process, with most macronutrients and micronutrients retained in the digestate. Depending on the ingoing organic substrate and management of the biogas process,...
متن کاملNet N-mineralisation related to soil organic matter pools
Soil organic maer and its turnover rate are key parameters for agricultural management practice as well as for environmental issues. In a field experiment comparing organic (compost) and mineral fertilisation and combinations of both the amount of inorganic nitrogen in the soil and the nitrogen uptake by the plants were measured. Considering these data and the fertilisation practice the net N-...

Improved grain protein quality through fertiliser management has potential benefits for growers and feed processors. Stable high quality grain is demanded by feed processors to facilitate grain handling and to reduce the cost of additives in feed formulation. In this experiment we examine the potential gains from altering grain protein quality with fertiliser management. A factorial experiment ...
متن کاملFactors Affecting Yield and Composition of Milk
The variation in composition and daily yield of milk is a regular phenomenon in all milking animals. Broadly, the factors which are responsible for such variations can be divided into (1) Physiological, which will be governed by the genetical make up and (2) Environmental, such as age, number of previous lactations, pregnancy, nutrition status, etc. The dairyman has hardly got any control over ...
