چکیده
In this research, the diffusion coefficient of phosphate ions in agarose-citric acid diffusive gel has been studied. The layer was prepared by mixing 1.5% agarose solution with addition citric solutions at various concentration. casted between two glass plates which were separated using a spacer 0.1 cm thickness and clamped together three sides. Gel formed for 15 minutes an oven 40oC. then calculated Fick's First law formula. that produced 0.45% absorbed more water during immersion 3 hours facilitating diffusion. Swelling degree gels not affected storing condition either or NaNO3 M. Coefficient 1.009×10-7 cm2s-1, less than pure 1.367×10-7 cm2s-1. is ionic strength solution. Phosphate higher 2 mgL-1 nitrate. Increasing causes lower because electrostatic attractive repulsive force

Kinetic mixture effects in diffusion gradients in thin films (DGT).
The penetration of complexes into the resin domain of the DGT devices has a large influence on the lability degree of these complexes, since the reaction layer (the layer where there is net dissociation) extends from the diffusive gel into the resin domain. Numerical simulation shows that, typically, the contribution to the metal accumulation from dissociation of complexes inside the resin doma...
متن کاملMeasurement of ferric ion diffusion coefficient in Fricke-infused agarose gel from MR image intensity changes
Abstract-A mathematical modeling was adopted to calculate the ferric ion diffusion coefficient based on the radiation induced magnetic resonance (MR) image intensity change in Fricke-agarose gels. A fast magnetic resonance imaging acquisition technique was employed to avoid the smearing of acquired data due to diffusion over an extended period of time. Our results showed that for a Fricke-agaro...
متن کاملEstimation of Measurement Uncertainties for the DGT Passive Sampler Used for Determination of Copper in Water
Diffusion-based passive samplers are increasingly used for water quality monitoring. While the overall method robustness and reproducibility for passive samplers in water are widely reported, there has been a lack of a detailed description of uncertainty sources. In this paper an uncertainty budget for the determination of fully labile Cu in water using a DGT passive sampler is presented. Uncer...
متن کاملDiffusive gradient in thin-films (DGT) as risk assessment and management tools in the Central Witwatersrand Goldfield, South Africa
Diffusive gradient in thin-films (DGT) technology was used to monitor bio-available metals and the tool was developed for risk-based pollution assessment and liability apportionment in the Witwatersrand Goldfields, South Africa, where there is widespread mine-related pollution. DGT technology is a passive sampling technique whereby metal species are selectively diffused from polluted water thro...
متن کاملUse of diffusive gradients in thin films (DGT) in undisturbed field soils.
The technique of diffusive gradients in thin films (DGT) has been shown to be a promising tool to assess metal bioavailability in soils under laboratory conditions. In this study we used DGT to investigate the resupply kinetics of Cu and Zn under in-situ conditions in a polluted lysimeter soil and compared the results with laboratory measurements using undisturbed soil cores at defined water co...
