Diffuse interface modeling of laser-induced nano-/micro-cavitation bubbles

In the present work, a diffuse interface model has been used to numerically investigate laser-induced cavitation of nano-/micro-bubbles. The mesoscale approach is able describe process in its entirety, starting from vapor bubble formation due focused laser energy deposition up macroscopic motion. particular, simulations show complete and detailed description subsequent breakdown wave emission with precise estimation partition between shock radiating liquid internal bubble. scaling ratio stored at maximum radius one deposited by found agreement experimental observation on bubbles.
