چکیده
Abstract The selection of an analogical source is a critical step in the design-by-analogy process. Previous researchers have explored reasons and preferences individual designers or design teams selecting sources. Non-designers, who instead more knowledge other fields, may offer new possibilities for retrieving novel This study focuses on differences sources between collaborative composed nondesigners. There are indeed significant type, source, level abstraction inspiration stimuli, novelty ideas non-designers. work provide theoretical guidance development tools methods non-designers with different bases.

Designers and Collaborative Virtual Environments
This chapter provides an overview of the technical and social issues of CVEs and their impact on designers. The development of CVEs has lead to new ways for designers to collaborate and new kinds of places for designers to design. As a new technology for collaborative design, CVEs impact the collaborative process by facilitating movement between working together and working individually. As new...
متن کاملListen! - Improving the Cooperation between Game Designers and Audio Designers
In the design research investigation Listen! the multi-disciplinary collaboration between game design and audio design students is researched. The research focuses on gathering more insight in the creative design process of game audio and presents general recommendations and pitfalls for the development of game audio.
متن کاملCompound Analogical Design: Interaction between Problem Decomposition and Analogical Transfer in Biologically Inspired Design
Biologically inspired design (BID) can be viewed as an example of analogy-based design. Existing models of analogy-based design do not fully account for the generation of complex solutions in BID, especially those which contain compound solutions. In this paper we develop a conceptual framework of compound analogical design that explains the generation of compound solutions in design through op...
متن کاملAnalogical Transfer of Non-Isomorphic Source Problems
In analogical problem solving, non-isomorphic source/target relations are typically only investigated in contrast to the ideal case of isomorphism. We propose to give a closer look to different types of non-isomorphic source/target relations and varying degrees of structural overlap. We introduce a measure of graph distance which captures the “size” of partial isomorphism between two structures...
متن کاملAnalogical Scaffolding in Collaborative Learning
Past research has shown that collaboration can facilitate learning and problem solving (e.g., Azmitia, 1988; Barron, 2000). In the current work, we compared the effects of three collaborative learning conditions: prompts that encourage analogical comparison between examples, prompts that guide sequentially studying single examples, and traditional instruction (practicing problem solving), as st...
