چکیده

As a result of the risk that radiological and nuclear disasters accidents will expose membersof public to unsafe amounts radiation, numerous emergency dosimetry approaches for triage have beenthoroughly explored. The current methods retrospective encompass variety biological, physical, andchemical procedures related radiation exposure human body. Additional items might be useful asfortuitous dosimeters using luminescence techniques include banknotes, electronic components, table salt, quartzrecovered from bricks, other burnt ceramic materials. In this study, we investigated usability dietary saltsupplement in dose range triage. We studied samples' limit detection (LOD),dose response, reproducibility, fading, which are all important elements optically stimulated luminescence(OSL) signal sample’s luminescent properties. Measurements were conducted by Riso TL/OSL reader DA-20. Thestudy used potassium chloride tablets electrolyte powder different manufacturers packaged instandard lightproof containers. findings study demonstrate these supplements after irradiation providemeasurable satisfactorily reproducible OSL signal. increases linearly with triage-relateddose has low LOD values.

Retrospective dosimetry using fingernail in nuclear industries: A review paper

Generally, doses greater than 2Gy can produce acute biological effects in humans. For this reason, to measure and record the cumulative dose, especially in radiation users, the need for a personal dosimeter has been strongly felt by the researchers. The purpose of this study is to introduce retrospective dosimetric techniques, in particular the use of nails as a natural tool for determining cum...

Dietary salt intake as a potential modifier of airway responsiveness in bronchial asthma.

While pharmacologic treatment of chronic asthma is usually highly effective, medications often have significant side-effects or exhibit tachyphylaxis. Alternative and/or complementary treatments that reduce dependence on pharmacologic medications are of interest in reducing the severity of asthma. This review analyzes the literature that has evaluated dietary salt intake as a potential modifier...

Dental tissue as a TLD dosimeter

Background: Thermoluminescence dosimetry is one of the dosimetry procedures used widely as routine and personal dosimeters. In order to extend this kind of dosimeters, dental tissue has been examined and was found promising as a TLD dosimeter. Materials and Methods : In this study, 70 health teeth were collected. The only criterion, which was considered for selection of the teeth, was the healt...

EPR study on biominerals as materials for retrospective dosimetry

In numerous biominerals exposed to ionizing radiation some stable paramagnetic species are induced. Their nature can differ depending on chemical composition of biominerals. The method of choice to study paramagnetic centers in biominerals is electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. When the relationship between EPR signal intensity of stable paramagnetic center and the dose has a li...
