چکیده

ABSTRACT: This study evaluated the effect of dietary net energy (NE) levels on growth performance and carcass characteristics barrows from 30 to 70 kg body weight (BW). Sixty with initial (IBW) 31.94 ± 3.54 final (FBW) 71.98 5.99 were allotted one five NE (2.40, 2.45, 2.50, 2.55, 2.60 Mcal kg-1), using a completely randomized block design six replicates two per replicate. The experimental period was divided into phase I: 50 II: kg. variables analyzed average daily feed intake (ADFI), (NEI), digestible lysine (LysI), gain (ADG), conversion (FC), FBW, conversion:gain (LysI:G), Cost:Gain (C:G), loin eye area (LEA), muscle depth (MD), first backfat layer (BF1), second (BF2), total (BFt), lean meat percentage, bonus index (BI). In I, there linear increase (P < 0.05) in ADG, NEI, LysI increasing diet. II, also increased LysI, FC linearly. Overall, other not affected > by levels. There an BF2 levels, but altered 0.05). We recommended kg-1 diet for growing

Effect of dietary net energy concentrations on growth performance and net energy intake of growing gilts

OBJECTIVE This experiment investigated the effect of dietary net energy (NE) concentrations on growth performance and NE intake of growing gilts. METHODS Five diets were formulated to contain 9.6, 10.1, 10.6, 11.1, and 11.6 MJ NE/kg, respectively. A metabolism trial with 10 growing pigs (average body weight [BW] = 15.9±0.24 kg) was conducted to determine NE concentrations of 5 diets based on ...

Dietary calcium and phosphorus levels for growing swine from 18 to 57 kilograms body weight.

A randomized complete block design experiment was conducted using 408 crossbred pigs to evaluate the effects of six dietary Ca/P levels for growing swine (18 to 57 kg). Total dietary P levels ranged from .40 to .90% in .1% intervals with Ca concurrently increased at a 1.3:1 ratio in a 16% protein corn-soybean meal diet. Dicalcium phosphate and limestone were the source of inorganic Ca and P. Fo...

Effects of dietary aflatoxin on the hepatic expression of apoptosis genes in growing barrows.

The most common and toxic form of aflatoxin, aflatoxin B(1) (AFB(1)), is produced by molds growing on crops. Use of moldy corn can result in high concentrations of AFB(1) in swine diets, which could potentially lead to an increased incidence of aflatoxicosis, a disease associated with decreased health and performance through reduced feed intake, reduced BW gain, and impaired liver function. The...

Effects of dietary aflatoxin on the health and performance of growing barrows.

Aflatoxins, especially aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), can be greater in dried distillers grains with solubles (DDGS) because it can be concentrated during the ethanol production process. Increased use of DDGS in swine diets could potentially lead to an increased incidence of aflatoxicosis, a disease associated with decreased feed intake, reduced BW gain, and impaired liver function. The objective of this...
