چکیده
Tropical gar, Atractosteus tropicus Gill, 1863, is an ancient freshwater fish that commercially cultivated in southern Mexico. Currently, there a specific diet for its culture; however, the addition of probiotics has not been investigated. The objective this study was to evaluate supplementation live yeast Debaryomyces hansenii A. juveniles on growth, productive parameters, survival, somatic index, digestive enzyme activity, and immune system gene expressions (interleukin 10, il-10 , Transforming growth factor β1, tgf-β1 β2 microglobulin, b2m ). Three experimental diets increased dose (0.5, 1.0, 1.5%; 10 14 15 16 CFU g –1 respectively) control (CD; without yeast) were designed. Daily weight gain rate higher fed with CD 0.5% D. . High activities trypsin, chymotrypsin LAP, α-amylase, as well overexpression spleen, detected feed inclusion had no positive effect aquaculture lower doses should be tested optimize diet.

Use of Potato Starch in Diets of Tropical Gar (Atractosteus tropicus, Gill 1863) Larvae
Tropical gar, Atractosteus tropicus, is a carnivorous fish species from Southern México with high value and acceptance in local markets. Therefore, the present study aims to spare proteins in diets for larviculture of this species. An experiment was performed using three different experimental diets with increasing carbohydrate levels based on potato starch (S) and decreasing protein content (P...
متن کاملAcute toxicity and cholinesterase inhibition of the nematicide ethoprophos in larvae of gar Atractosteus tropicus (Semionotiformes: Lepisosteidae).
Biomarkers are a widely applied approach in environmental studies. Analyses of cholinesterase (ChE), glutathione S-transferase (GST) and lipid peroxidation (LPO) are biomarkers that can provide information regarding early effects of pollutants at different biochemical levels on an organism. The aim of this study was to evaluate the biomarker approach on a Costa Rican native and relevant species...

A total of 8 helminth species were recorded in an examination of 43 tropical gar, Atractosteus tropicus Gill, collected at the Pantanos de Centla Biosphere Reserve, Tabasco, Mexico. The parasite species included 1 adult trematode, 3 metacercariae, 1 cestode, 1 adult nematode, and 2 nematode larvae. Six of these 8 species were rare, with low prevalence (< 17%) and abundance (< 1.0 helminths per ...

A new species of parasitic nematode, Cystoopsis atractostei (Trichinelloidea: Cystoopsidae), is described based on female specimens recovered from the subcutaneous tissue of the tropical gar, Atractosteus tropicus Gill (Lepisosteiformes: Lepisosteidae), from 2 localities (Canal Nueva Esperanza and Canal Tabasquillo) of the Pantanos de Centla Biological Reserve, State of Tabasco, southeastern Me...
متن کاملElectron microscopy of ascus formation in the yeast debaryomyces hansenii.
Ascus formation in Debaryomyces hansenii includes fusion of two cells, usually mother and daughter while still attached to each other, through short protuberances developed from the cross wall between them. Nuclear fusion takes place in the channel connecting the two cells; meiosis apparently occurs in the mother cell. Generally, only one lobe of the meiotic nucleus is surrounded by a prospore ...
