Diagnostic efficacy of cone beam computed tomography in tmj disorders – A narrative review

Temporomandibular joint disorders (TMDs) diagnosis requires routine clinical evaluation and radiographic of patients with temporomandibular (TMDs). Various imaging techniques have been described in the literature to evaluate TMJ both symptomatic asymptomatic patients. Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), a fast developing method, is currently used often dento-maxillofacial imaging. Due its great resolution relatively low dosage, it has an advantage. When looking through data on imaging, appears that ongoing CBCT revolution had significant influence. The goal this narrative review discuss current situation regarding diagnostic use TMDs.
