Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental that develops as result of powerful psycho-traumatic effect threatening or catastrophic nature, accompanied by extreme stress, the main clinical manifestations are repeated experiences elements traumatic event in “here and now” situation form flashbacks, recurring dreams nightmares, which more often anxiety panic, but possibly also anger, feelings guilt hopelessness, desire to avoid internal external stimuli resemble associated with stressor. PTSD tends personality disorders, characterized high prevalence comorbid pathology. Recently, data have been accumulated on changes brain neurotransmitter systems neuroendocrine disorders patients PTSD, well presence morpho-functional, neuroinflammatory, other neurobiological features. Improvement existing development new pharmacotherapy algorithms an important component care provided PTSD. Despite leading role psychotherapy treatment this disorder, prevention chronicity relapses, order achieve quick patients' adherence treatment, within framework personalized approach, use psychopharmacotherapy recommended, effectiveness should be evaluated during entire course therapy.
