چکیده
Background: Infertility is defined as the failure to conceive after 1 year of unprotected sexual intercourse in women less than 35 years age and 6 months older [1, 2]. It affects 10 15 % couples [1]. Abnormalities fallopian tubes account for 40 cases infertility [3]. Sonosalpingography a non-invasive, safe cost- effective diagnostic technique which provides reliable diagnosis tubal patency [4]. Objective: To evaluate validity test infertile using laparoscopy gold standard. Methodology: This study was carried out at Radiology Departments Khyber Teaching Hospital Kuwait Peshawar. We used WHO method sample size by taking prevalence tuboperitoneal factors 30%, sensitivity 72.9%, specificity 81.22%, margin error 12%, 95% confidence interval. cross-sectional that lasted assessed total 178 patients. Additionally, non-probability, sequential sampling strategy utilized acquire sample. Results: Our patients aged between 18-45 years, 30% participants 18 25years, 55% were 26 35years, 15% 36 45years. Standard deviation 1.26, with mean 27. The data collected from both tests analyzed, accuracy calculated 81%, 76%, positive predictive value 90%, negative 60%, 79%. Conclusion: According results our study, sonosalpingography very helpful supplemental tool evaluating disease infertility, though direct laparoscopic assessment can be secondary infertility. spares patient being exposed radiations discomfort contrast administration HSG.
