Diabetic Cardiac Autonomic Neuropathy: Link between Heart Rate Variability, Violated Blood Pressure Pattern, and Pulse Wave Velocity

چکیده
Abnormalities in heart rate (HR) variability (HRV) and blood pressure (BP) may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. A well-known factor for morbidity, such as arrhythmias, stroke, congestive failure, attacks, sudden death syndrome, is cardiac autonomic neuropathy (CAN). It has been claimed that chronobiologically evaluating HRV BP optimizing timed treatment efficacy can significantly lower or stroke death. Physiological activities are under control nervous system. Damage nerves leads to dysfunction HR vascular dynamics, notably CAN. For people with diabetes mellitus (DM), metabolic abnormalities significant morbidity mortality caused by an imbalance between sympathetic parasympathetic systems, which regulate function. There a strong correlation changes neuroendocrine sleep architecture, circadian clock oscillations, glucose metabolism, function, diurnal profiles HR, there evidence rhythm misalignment DM patients. The purpose chapter analyze current state problem relationship disorders, HRV, arterial stiffness.

Early detection of cardiovascular autonomic neuropathy in diabetic pigs using blood pressure and heart rate variability.
Cardiac autonomic neuropathy is a common complication in insulin dependent diabetes mellitus. Nevertheless, little is known about when this impairment occurs during the time course of the disease. Analysis of blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR) variability could be used to detect early signs of autonomic alteration. To test this proposal, twelve sexually mature male Yucatan miniature pigs w...
متن کاملDecreased exercise heart rate and blood pressure response in diabetic subjects with cardiac autonomic neuropathy.
Abnormal hemodynamic responses to exercise have been observed in diabetic subjects, but the pathogenesis and significance remain uncertain. We used maximal treadmill exercise to study 32 subjects with long-term insulin-dependent diabetes without clinical evidence of cardiac disease. Two of the 32 had occult ischemic heart disease revealed by stress electrocardiography and myocardial-perfusion s...
متن کاملAssociation between Brachial-Ankle pulse wave velocity and cardiac autonomic neuropathy in type 2 diabetes
BACKGROUND Cardiac autonomic neuropathy (CAN) is a common complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV) is known to be a good surrogate marker of vascular damages. The goal of this study was to investigate the relationship between BaPWV and CAN in T2DM. METHODS A total of 148 patients who had no apparent history of cardiovascular condition were en...
متن کاملCombination of Ewing test, heart rate variability, and heart rate turbulence analysis for early diagnosis of diabetic cardiac autonomic neuropathy
The aim of this study was to compare and analyze Ewing test, heart rate variability (HRV), and heart rate turbulence (HRT) in the diagnosis of cardiac autonomic neuropathy (CAN) in diabetic patients.Ninety diabetic patients (age 18-78) and 20 nondiabetic control subjects were studied. Standard Ewing test and 24-hour Holter was performed in all participants to evaluate CAN. Patients with Ewing s...
