Development of Tire-Wear Particle Emission Measurements for Passenger Vehicles

چکیده
Abstract In this study, we aimed to develop a new method for measuring tire-wear particles of less than 2.5 μm generated from vehicle use. We also devise evaluating the emission factor particles. To an evaluation particles, examined several factors, such as how tire components in airborne collected on sampling filter were measured, comparison obtained laboratory study and on-road using test vehicle, mass weighting balance. Measurements carried out measurement proposed herein. The amount wear that was almost constant speed range 20–40 km/h but influenced by change lateral acceleration 0–0.4G. Furthermore, relationship between force can be shown quadratic polynomial. estimated applying relational equation profile JC08 used Japanese exhaust gas tests. 3.7 mg/km-vehicle. ratio tread about 3.3% at PM 3.7% 10 .

The Rebound Effect for Passenger Vehicles
Increasingly stringent fuel economy standards will reduce per-mile driving costs and may raise vehicle miles traveled, which is referred to as the rebound effect. All previous estimates impose at least one of three behavioral assumptions: (a) fuel economy is uncorrelated with other vehicle attributes; (b) fuel economy is uncorrelated with attributes of other vehicles owned by the household; and...
متن کاملA Technical and Financial Analysis of Potentially Near-Zero Greenhouse Gas Emission Passenger Vehicles
This paper presents a technical and financial analysis of several, potentially near-zero greenhouse gas emission passenger vehicles for Australian driving conditions. Conventional, series hybrid, plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and fully electric (BEV) vehicles of class B and class E sizes are considered, with their propulsive energy assumed to originate from a source that is free of net greenhouse gas e...
متن کاملSemi-autonomous Avoidance of Moving Hazards for Passenger Vehicles
This paper presents a method for semi-autonomous hazard avoidance in the presence of unknown moving obstacles and unpredictable driver inputs. This method iteratively predicts the motion and anticipated intersection of the host vehicle with both static and dynamic hazards and excludes projected collision states from a traversable corridor. A model predictive controller iteratively replans a sta...
متن کاملExperimental Evaluation of Semiactive Magneto- Rheological Suspensions for Passenger Vehicles
Mechanical Engineering This study experimentally evaluates the dynamic response of a single vehicle suspension incorporating a magneto-rheological (MR) damper. A full-scale two-degree-of-freedom (2DOF) quarter-car test apparatus has been constructed at the Advanced Vehicle Dynamics Lab at Virginia Tech to evaluate the response of a vehicle suspension under the different control schemes of skyho...
متن کاملCharacterization of GPS multipath for passenger vehicles across urban environments
Multipath signals have a strong effect on position estimates; these are studied intensely theoretically and experimentally. In this paper a domain oriented perspective is presented, passenger vehicles traversing dense urban areas. The purpose is to examine the effects of multipath on pseudo-ranges and Doppler measurements. The approach combines a theoretical formulation with extensive testing. ...
