Development of Silver Doped Hydroxyapatite Thin Films for Biomedical Applications

چکیده
Silver doped hydroxyapatite [AgHAp, Ca10−xAg(PO4)6(OH)2], due to its antimicrobial properties, is an advantageous material be used for various coatings. The AgHAp thin films with xAg = 0.05 and 0.1 were achieved using the spin-coating method. resulting samples examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force (AFM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy, photoelectron (XPS). XRD analysis revealed that particles of both are ellipsoidal. Also, in agreement results obtained measurements, SEM studies have shown shape Optical properties silver deposited on Si substrate investigated through (FTIR) spectroscopy. two complementary techniques highlighted molecular structure studied not influenced increase concentration samples. Our surface morphology consist uniform continuous layers. biocompatibility was also evaluated aid human osteosarcoma MG63 (ATCC CRL 1427) cell line. Moreover, vitro antifungal activity against Candida albicans fungal strain their effect. biological assays showed a very promising biomedical applications.
