Development of LiMgBO3:Tb3+ as a new generation material for thermoluminescence based personnel neutron dosimetry

نویسندگان

چکیده

LiMgBO3:Tb3+ TL phosphor was systematically developed having better personnel neutron dosimetry properties as compared with the standard LiF:Mg,Ti dosimeter. Neutron irradiated PL and EPR studies delineated underlying defect induced mechanism.

Development of a new software tool, based on ANN technology, in neutron spectrometry and dosimetry research

Artificial Intelligence is a branch of study which enhances the capability of computers by giving them human-like intelligence. The brain architecture has been extensively studied and attempts have been made to emulate it as in the Artificial Neural Network technology. A large variety of neural network architectures have been developed and they have gained wide-spread popularity over the last f...

Nanobody as a new generation of functional proteins

Nanobody (Nb) or VHH is the smallest binding domain of camelid heavy chain antibody (HcAb). Light chains of HcAb naturally removed and because of some evolutionary changes, Nbs have unique properties rather than conventional antibodies. The size of Nb is about one-tenth (0.1) of whole antibodies and this size improved some problems of four chains antibodies such as high yield of expression in p...

Ammonium dithionate- a new material for highly sensitive EPR dosimetry.

Polycrystalline ammonium dithionate has been examined for its radiation response in the low dose range (<5Gy) using EPR technique. The SO(3)(-) radical ion was detected as a single EPR line with a peak-to-peak derivative width of ca. 0.44mT in irradiated samples and its intensity was found to vary linearly with dose. At equal and moderate settings of microwave power and modulation amplitude amm...

Development and test of a GEM-based TEPC for neutron protection dosimetry.

A novel tissue-equivalent proportional counter (TEPC) based on a gas electron multiplier (GEM) for measuring H*(10) for neutrons was designed and constructed. The pulse height spectra (PHS) of two different neutron sources (a 252Cf source and a AmBe source) were measured using the new TEPC. The measurements were made with the TEPC filled with two different gases (10P gas and a propane-based tis...
