DEVELOPMENT OF KNEE-BRACE FRICTION DAMPER FOR MID-RISE TIMBER FRAME BUILDING

چکیده
This study aims to develop a knee-brace friction damper for mid-rise timber frame buildings. First, time history seismic response analysis was conducted investigate the performance of improve four-story building. Then, static cyclic loading test on beam-column joint with/without prototype carried out verify effectiveness damper. It is found that mitigates slip behavior and increases equivalent viscous damping ratio stiffness.
