Abstract A standalone, lightweight, portable, FPGA-based triple to double coincidence ratio (TDCR) system is developed. The optical chamber of the fabricated in a dual, coaxial cylindrical geometry, with inner cylinder made up Teflon and outer one aluminium. Three square PMTs, each having an active cathode area 2.3 cm × cm, are housed chamber. variation detection efficiency identify optimum kB (ionization quenching parameter) value achieved by changing vial position vertically respect centre line PMTs. analyzer implemented field programmable gate array (FPGA) transfers pulse counts associated parameters real time Raspberry Pi single board computer (SBC). TDCR algorithm compute SBC. In addition, SBC interfaced local 7” touchscreen provide intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) for operating standalone instrument. performance validated 3 H 14 C radionuclide standards.
