Development of Cork-Bamboo-Latex as An Alternative Composite for Bottles Stoppers

Agglomerated cork composites production has been arising as an alternative eco-friendly to stoppers use and attracts interest create sustainable products materials. A cork-bamboo-latex composite was developed by compression-molding the interaction between three interfaces well their mechanical properties were evaluated density measure, immersion test, FTIR, compression microbial analysis aiming produce material wine closures. The results obtained compared produced commercial agglomerated stoppers. It possible observe that exhibited a good adhesion of all components similar characteristics. However, it presented slight increase in (from 0.37 g/cm3 0.65 g/cm3) Young's modulus 0.033 MPa 0.037 MPa) producing stiffer mainly due bamboo presence. migration stopper (cork, bamboo, or latex) for not detected, there no visible composite.
