چکیده
The appearance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains with multi-resistance to antibiotics is a clinical problem great relevance. methods for detecting these resistances are laborious and slow, which complication when treating patients promptly. In this work, we developed simple method simultaneous detection several carbapenem resistance genes using multiplex PCR assay. assay developed, followed by electrophoretic separation fragments, allows simultaneously identify the presence 6 antibiotic genes: bla-VIM (261 bp), bla-IMP (587 bla-SPM (648 bla-GIM-1 (753 bla-NDM-1 (813 bp) bla-KPC (882 bp). We analyzed 7 isolates P. obtained in Chile, finding bla-VIM, bla-IMP, bla-SPM, bla-GIM, bla-NDM 5 them. found perfect correlation between various results antibiograms. Interestingly, 2 possessed 3 different simultaneously. Finally, never described before Chile (bla-IMP, bla-GIM-1). rapid test up metallo-β-lactamase family aeruginosa.

Phenotypic Detection Of Metallo-beta-lactamase Producing Pseudomonas aeruginosa Strains Isolated From Burned Patients
Background and Objective: Metallo-beta-lactamase (MBL)-mediated resistance is an emerging threat in hospital isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. There is not enough information from Iran regarding the prevalence and the screening methods for such enzymes. The present study was undertaken to detect Metallo betalactamase in strains of P. aeruginosa isolated from burned patien...

Background & Objective: The spread of carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a global concern. Metallo-beta-lactamase (MBL) enzymes cause extensive drug resistance among Gram-negative bacteria. The current study aimed at determining the prevalence of MBL-producing P. aeruginosa in Iran. Methods<...
متن کاملDevelopment of a TaqMan multiplex PCR assay for detection of plasmid-mediated ampC β-lactamase genes.
A multiplex, real-time TaqMan assay was designed to identify clinical isolates carrying plasmid-mediated ampC genes. The specificity and sensitivity of this assay were 100% when testing characterized AmpC/non-AmpC-producing isolates and randomly selected clinical isolates. This is a rapid assay that can be performed in a clinical microbiology laboratory.
متن کاملSimple microdilution test for detection of metallo-beta-lactamase production in Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
A microdilution test measuring imipenem MICs in the presence or absence of a mixture of EDTA plus 1,10-phenanthroline was developed and tested on 190 Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates, including 18 VIM- and 4 IMP-type metallo-beta-lactamase (MBL) producers. The chelator mixture reduced by fourfold or more the imipenem MICs for MBL producers, while a lower effect or no effect was usually observed ...

hyplex®-MBL ID Multiplex PCR-ELISA, a novel method for identifying metallo-β-lactamase genes directly in clinical specimens, was evaluated using a consecutive collection of 326 samples from three hospitals in Greece characterized by high prevalence of VIM producers. The method exhibited high sensitivity (98.0%) and specificity (98.6%) and was proven reliable in detecting bla(VIM) genes in blood...
