Abstract The digital twin concept has developed as a method for extracting value from data, and is being new technique the design asset management of high-value engineering systems such aircraft, energy generating plant, wind turbines. In terms implementation, many proprietary software solutions have been marketed in this domain. contrast, paper describes recently released open-source framework twins, which provides browser-based operational platform using Python Flask. intended to maximize connectivity between users data obtained physical twin. This how type (DTOP) can be used connect other Internet-of-Things devices both cloud computing services. current release software—DTOP-Cristallo—uses example three-storey structure managed. Within DTOP-Cristallo, specific tools use twin, these are demonstrate concept. At stage, presented prototype. However, potential network very large area future research development.
