Development of a Continuous Testing Device for Pavement Structure Bearing Capacity

Pavement structure bearing capacity is an important evaluation parameter in pavement design, construction, maintenance management, and reconstruction, generally expressed by the deflection value. Some of current road detection equipment have high accuracy, but speed slow, they cannot achieve real-time continuous detection; some speeds are fast, measurement accuracy easily affected roughness vehicle vibration. Moreover, result displacement, which directly reflect comprehensive modulus structure. In this paper, firstly, a two-stage jump mechanical model “machine-pavement” system established order to develop device that can simulate real driving load continuously test structure, main factors affecting acceleration response vibrating drums were determined through analysis.
