چکیده
In this study, a 1 W W-band solid-state power amplifier (SSPA) was developed for application in compact pulse Doppler radar. The SSPA up-converted the X-band signal to with multiplier (×8) and then amplified high output using an amplifier. To apply radar, which transmits receives signals single antenna, noise reduced by controlling drain voltage of according repetition frequencies. average obtained range 31.7~31.8 dBm, stable operation possible more than 50 s.

A 1.56THz compact radar range for W-band imagery of scale-model tactical targets
A new very high-frequency compact radar range has been developed to measure scale models of tactical targets. This compact range has demonstrated very good signal-to-noise and is useful in measuring low observable targets. In addition to normal ISAR imaging of targets (range vs. horizontal cross-range), the system can also produce two-dimensional images in azimuth and elevation (vertical cross-...
متن کاملA Compact H-plane Magic Tee Designed at W Band
Magic tee is a widely used component in microwave systems; the four arms of a conventional magic tee direct at four different directions, which occupy much space and give inconveniences to the assemblage of a system. In this paper, a waveguide narrow-wall slot directional coupler and an E-plane dielectric loaded waveguide phase shifter are used to make up of a magic tee with four arms in the sa...
متن کاملIdentifying drizzle within marine stratus with W-band radar reflectivity
Airborne cloud radar and cloud microphysical data, collected in summertime stratus clouds off the Oregon coast, are analyzed to obtain an empirical threshold radar reflectivity above which drizzle can be expected in warm marine stratus. Such clouds, which are prevalent over the eastern subtropical oceans, have a profound impact on global climate. This study finds that the threshold reflectivity...
متن کاملVector Modulator for W -Band Software Radar Techniques
Direct-carrier modulation is an attractive technique for low-cost high-performance radar transceivers. In this paper, it is shown that, when the technique is applied to a generic homodyne radar architecture, the signaling waveform can be software adapted without requiring any hardware modifications. The key circuit in this novel software radar is a -band monolithic – vector modulator employing ...
